R.Stephens Tasmanian Honey
R.Stephens Apiary at Mole Creek was established by the late R.Stephens in 1920 and has progressed from a pre-war hobby of a few hives to a successful apiary business of 2,500 hives in the twenty-first century. Today the business produces 35% of Tasmania's honey crop.
The boxes are removed from the hives and transported to the factory, here the honey is extracted from the comb and packed for the retail market. You are invited to visit the factory and view this process.

The Honey Farm
The Honey Farm at Chudleigh is an ideal place to take a break on the drive between Deloraine and Mole Creek.
Visitors to The Honey Farm can sample more than 50 varieties of honey, taste honey ice-creams, buy medicinal and beauty products made from honey, and watch live bees at work in a specially constructed glass hive.
