The Honey Farm

The Honey Farm at Chudleigh is an ideal place to take a break on the drive between Deloraine and Mole Creek.

Visitors to The Honey Farm can sample more than 50 varieties of honey, taste honey ice-creams, buy medicinal and beauty products made from honey, and watch live bees at work in a specially constructed glass hive.

41 Degrees South Salmon & Ginseng Farm

Painstakingly carved out of 14 hectares of overgrown wilderness at Montana on the outskirts of Deloraine, the 41 Degrees South Salmon & Ginseng Farm is a shining example of a Tasmanian gourmet producer committed to environmental excellence.

With 10 large concrete tanks holding thousands of thriving fish, 41 Degrees South is a leading producer of hot-smoked baby salmon and other gourmet products, which can be tasted and bought at farm gate.

The farm also grows ginseng, a Korean herb known for its medicinal properties.

Tasmanian Pure creates a large variety of modern meats and smallgoods; this includes hams, bacon and smoked meats, smoked and dried sausages, pates, terrines, baked meats and cold cuts.

Ashgrove Cheese Farm

A producer of some of Australia’s finest cheeses, the Ashgrove Cheese Farm is no stranger to awards on both a national and international level.

Established in 1993, Ashgrove is a fine example of the way in which many of the region’s farmers have been able to take traditional farming practices and successfully diversify into high value gourmet products.

ETC

The Elizabeth Town Bakery Cafe (ETC) is perfectly located midway between Launceston and Devonport, and its reputation for serving up some of the best coffee in the valley make it a favourite regular stop for commuters traveling this route.

Serving gourmet breads, sandwiches, foccacias, pies, pasta and pastries, ETC also offers an extraordinary view of the surrounding landscape from its large, glassed-in eating area.

A cooler climate and rich soils make the raspberries grown in the Great Western Tiers region among the best in the world.

Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm grows over 8 different varieties of raspberries, providing a supply of fresh produce lasting from December until May each year.

Deloraine Fruit Wine Centre & Artists Garret

The Artists’ Garret is a working studio and gallery in Deloraine, the cultural heart of Northern Tasmania.

At the Artists' Garret, you can see work by established and emerging Tasmanian artisans in a program of exhibitions which features paintings, drawings, ceramics, textiles, glass, wood and jewellery design. You can also participate in the studio’s regular arts and crafts workshops, conducted by recognised artists.
