Ashgrove Cheese is just one example of a local producer whose remarkable perseverance and entrepreneurship have made it one of the country's finest. Owned by the Bennett families, Ashgrove is the only Australian producer specialising in traditional English country style cheeses.

As you travel along the Mole Creek Road (B12), you will discover many more of the region's gourmet producers. A quick detour down Montana Road and you will find 41 Degrees South Salmon Farm. The story behind this operation is just one of many environmental success stories associated with the region and the salmon products speak for themselves - simply stunning.

A short drive back along the Mole Creek Road to the township of Chudleigh will lead you to another of the Great Western Tiers' quality gourmet producers - The Honey Farm. Children will be spellbound as they watch the bees at work in a glass beehive, and the adults will be amazed at the enormous range of honey products available.
