Being able to experience four distinct seasons is something that visitors to Tasmania and the Great Western Tiers are constantly amazed by. The brilliance of the colour variations on display as you drive, cycle or walk through our region are spectacular.
Spring is a fabulous time to witness the transition of the seasons in the incredibly fertile Meander Valley. It's a time when the landscape explodes into life after its winter rest. The wild daffodils and magnificent cherry blossoms which can be found on the Deloraine River Walk are particularly spectacular in spring.
During the winter months the Great Western Tiers are regularly covered in snow, which offers perfect photo opportunities for visitors. To see the lush green winter pastures of the valley, framed by the snow-capped mountains is an awesome sight.
Crisp mornings are followed by clear blue skies, which are drenched by the winter sun - signalling that you are truly alive in one of the best places in the world.
