Marakoopa presents the Eclectic Mix Mini Fest
Getting the party started are local lads CASED, 4 piece punk rock with a great mix of originals and covers guaranteed to make you sit up and listen!!
Just Flare are based in Northern Tassie, independently writing, recording and releasing their own music. Dreamy and full of heart, with melodic guitar riffs, clear vocals and thick tones, this duo aims to connect with their audience by writing music that matters.
Halfway to Forth blend different styles of roots music into their own brand of earthy, homegrown and honest song-writing. Brothers Dan & Kyle deliver tight vocal harmonies, banjo driven ballads & toe tapping grooves for all ages. Amazing live, can’t wait.
And then for something completely different….
Japanese singer-songwriter and loop pedal ninja KENTA HAYASHI takes the term ‘one man band’ to the next level, creating an orchestra of sound by layering vocals, guitar, effects and percussion. The result is a fusion of psychedelic dubbed out journeys surrounded by soundscapes and an overtone of harmonies on a rhythmic foundation – all created live by Kenta through the use of his loop pedal.” Kenta focuses on the vibration of music. The vibrations he creates resonate with the natural frequency of the water in our bodies, 444Hz, like a healing meditational process. Playing Mona and Marakoopa as the Tasmanian leg of his Aussie Tour, lucky us.
Pete Cornelius has been a working musician since the age of 13. He continues to expand his repertoire and impress his audience with his toneful guitar and soulful vocals. His trio the “Pete Cornelius Band” is nothing less than world class. Drummer Beau Thomas and Bass Player Simon Holmes are solid yet exciting and the vibe is electric. Together the Pete Cornelius Band unite for a big sound and dynamic performance.
