The Honey Farm provides an exciting way to see honeybees up close. Have fun exploring a real beehive. From behind the safety of glass you can see how thousands of bees produce honey, watch the queen lay her eggs, and maybe even see a baby bee hatch!

Discover the mysteries of the honeybee in the new fully interactive beehive in which the story of the Queen and Worker bee is told in a fun and lighthearted way. A collection of beekeeping artefacts and rare straw skeps tell the story of beekeeping in the early 1800’s. The Honey Farm produces over 50 different kinds of honey. These include Tasmania’s Leatherwood honey and Tasmanian Manuka – a unique healing honey. Free honey tasting is available and you don’t want to end a visit to The Honey Farm without trying the delicious honey ice cream – made with rich Tasmanian cream and local honey.

Hours: Sunday till Thursday, 9am - 5pm. Friday 9am - 4pm. Closed on Saturday
