What to bring: Please bring lunch if you need and a water bottle. Hats and sunscreen are recommended.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting messy or an apron.
Huon Pine is an easy wood to carve making it perfect for beginners, it carves like butter and smells even better. It is endemic to the west coast of Tasmania and is one of the most revered timbers in the world.
In this 2hr workshop we will whittle away the day making a pair of chopsticks each. They can be simple or detailed. We will be working with very sharp knives so safety will be covered at the start. We will be sitting in the gardens out the back of the Deloraine visitor info centre so please bring a chair or cushion if you need.
This workshop is for ages 10+. Tools can be purchased on the day.
