Just 1 hour and 15 minutes scenic drive from Hobart, Maydena Mountain Cabins is ideally located on 3.5 acres of rural bliss in the small alpine village of Maydena, offering the perfect all year-round base to explore some of the last untamed and rare natural wilderness on the planet. Maydena has a rich forestry heritage, but today it is better known as a tourism adventure hub, home to Maydena Bike Park and gateway to Tasmania’s World Heritage listed wilderness region and national parks. Explore the area's unique natural attractions during the day, then in the evening relax in one of our beautiful self-contained traditional timber cabins or the Lodge apartments and soak up the breathtaking views across the gardens, our alpacas grazing in the fields and the forest and mountains beyond, which are snow capped in the winter. Get up and personal with our friendly alpacas, take memorable photos and simply breathe in nature and some of the cleanest air in the world.

From Westerway, follow the Gordon River Road/B61 towards Maydena. Continue on the Gordon River Road once in the town of Maydena, then turn left onto Junee Road. Follow Junee Road for 260 metres, then turn right into the signed entrance gates of Maydena Mountain Cabins.
Cancellation Policy
Check In Check In starts at 2.30 pm and ends at 7.00 pm. Please contact us upon arrival on 0427 833 814 as we do not have a reception desk. Photo identification (passport or Australian driver’s licence) and a valid credit card are required to check in. Check Out Check Out time is no later than 10:00 am. Please leave the property clean and tidy or you may be charged an excess cleaning fee: Clean the BBQ if used. Wash and dry your dishes and pack away. Place rubbish in the bins provided. Please close the doors and windows, switch off electric blankets, the heating/cooling unit and the lights when you depart. Cancellation Policy The following cancellation fees will apply to the full booking: 15 days or more prior to arrival date: 0% cancellation fee. 14 days or less prior to arrival date: 100% cancellation fee. If your cancelled accommodation is rebooked we will refund your payment for the night/s rebooked, less a 5% administration charge. Cancellations or booking variations must be notified by email to bookings@maydenacabins.com.au. We recommend all guests to purchase comprehensive travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances and any cancellation fees. No refund will be given for non-arrival or any unused services. No refund will be given due to flight or weather disruption, however we will refund payment, for rebooked night/s, less a 5% administration charge. A variation of the booking which reduces the number of nights stay or guests will be a treated as a cancellation of the booking in respect of those nights. The number of guests must not exceed the number stated on the booking confirmation notice or additional extra person charges will apply. No refund will be made for a variation that breaches a minimum nights’ stay booking policy. Bookings may be transferred to another guest with prior written approval from management. Rates are subject to change without notice.
