Mishaps, Murders & Mayhem | Walking History Tour
Welcome to August and Family History Month. Now is the perfect time to start researching your family history or to revisit that brick wall. Or to research the history of your home or local community group.
Do you need some inspiration? There are so many events happening during Family History Month.
Check out some of the events through the Australasian Federation of Family History Organisation (https://www.affho.org/whats-on/) and Libraries Tasmania ([https://libraries.tas.gov.au/national-family-history-month](https://libraries.tas.gov.au/national-family-history...)).
And more importantly, don't miss out on the events happening in Westbury!
On Wednesday 13th August at 1pm, there will be a free author talk at Westbury Library about one of our favourite convicts, Robert Lyall.
On Sunday 17th at 2pm and Saturday 30th August at 4pm, there will be a walking tour of Westbury's mysterious past, cost $10 per person.
Do you have specific questions about Westbury but can't make these events? Our history rooms on Lyall Street (yes, named after our favourite convict!) are open on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 2pm. Our volunteers are always happy to help.
