Canvases & Cocktails | Art Auction and Cocktail Party

With creativity as its soul, the Meander Valley has drawn visionary makers to its heart for decades.

Canvases and Cocktails is a celebration of that soul, a unique art event showcasing extraordinary local talent that sits side by side with interstate and international masterpieces, most notably bowls crafted by one of Australia's finest wood turners and a work by a Polish artist dated 1602.

The exhibition will consist of 100 art items. All items will be for sale at dynamic live and silent art auctions. Enjoy amazing palate tempters and the region's finest liquid libations from the likes of Meander Valley Vineyard. Tickets include canapes and a free drink on arrival.

And it's all in the name of an incredible cause. Mine Watch Meander Valley Inc. is a grassroots community organisation fighting to ensure the valley's spectacular natural environment, its social fabric and its statewide, national and international tourism appeal are protected from unsustainable and destructive development.

With one project in the pipeline, numerous other companies have their eyes firmly focused on the valley for its critical mineral resources.

By attending Canvases and Cocktails, you will be helping protect an entire community - its people, wildlife, waterways and bushland - everything that makes this place special.

We’re very excited to be presenting a fun night out at the Deloraine Little Theatre. Mine Watch Meander Valley is hosting an exhibition of 100 pieces of art from local artists. The artworks will be available for auction. Artworks include small items like bookmarks and range right up to fabulous paintings by celebrated local artists. The evening will include live and silent auctions, a raffle, cocktails and some live entertainment.

Ticket price includes entry to the exhibition and auction, a drink and canapes.
