Discovery Holiday Parks – Cradle Mountain located on the perimeter of the stunning World-Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park, offers inviting gas log-heated cottages and snug cabins, comfortable bunkhouses and campsites, all in a beautiful natural bush setting. If you are heading to Cradle Mountain and need a campsite, a powered or unpowered site for your caravan, a cabin or backpacker lodge then Cosy Cabins Cradle Mountain offers everything you need. Cabins - two-bedroom spa-style cottages with gas fires to large family-style cabins that sleep up to six, to simple Alpine huts – designed to provide shelter during harsh weather.

Description

Campsites – powered and unpowered – built in individual protective alcoves. There are two large camp kitchens with full cooking facilities, lounge and dining areas, large open log fires and quality outdoor barbecues. The Backpacker Youth Hostel Association is also on site with three separate bunkhouses each with their own separate kitchen and common room. The whole area is protected and at night you can spot possums, wombats, wallabies, pademelons, Tasmanian Devils and the spotted tail quoll hunting for food.

Cancellation Policy

•Cancel more than 14 days prior to the arrival date nil fees apply. •Bookings cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival will be charged one night’s accommodation (or 25% of the total accommodation whichever is greater). •Bookings cancelled day of arrival will be treated as a no show with 100% cancellation fees. "Group bookings (4 or more rooms) disclaimer Dinner at the restaurant: For group arrivals, please get in touch with the property directly at least a week prior to arrival to determine if a set menu can be arranged. We are unable to accommodation walk-ins for dinner at the restaurant, with advance notice being critical due to the seasonal and remote nature of the property. Breakfast Hampers: We provide self-cater breakfast hampers that must be arranged at least a week prior to your arrival. Breakfast service is not provided at the restaurant. Porterage & accessibility: Our property spans 40 acres and cannot accommodate vehicles above a 24-seater bus to drive around the property due to physical constraints. Guests arriving from coaches will require to walk up to 500 meters for select accommodation and bags will require porterage. This must be arranged at least a week prior to your arrival. Restaurant, lounge and reception facilities are located at the main building which can be walk of 500m from the cabins If porterage is required for smaller buses (24-seater or less), it must be arranged with the property directly at least a week prior to arrival at a cost of $32.50 per person. Check-ins and Check-outs: Check-in times range from 2pm – 6pm in summer season and 2 pm - 5 pm during the winter season. Reception does close at 6 pm during summer and 5 pm during the winter season and for later arrivals, advance notice is required and must be arranged directly with the property as the process would be through prepared envelopes.
