Aperture to the Infinite: Auroras, Stars, Space, and Creation

You are invited to Aperture to the Infinite: Auroras, Stars, Space, and Creation.
Meander Valley Council is hosting this FREE event in Deloraine on Tuesday, 12th of August 2025, to celebrate Science Week.
The Event will run from 5 PM- 8 PM at the Meander Valley Performing Arts Centre in The Little Theatre- Deloraine- 2 Meander Valley Road, Deloraine TAS 7304

It will be an immersive evening of cosmic discovery with:
5:00 PM Marcus House- Content Creator covering SpaceX and other launch missions- presentation
5:30 PM Joy Kachina- Aurora Australis Photography- slide viewing
5:45 PM Luke O’Brien- Aurora Australis Photography guide- presentation
6:15 PM Astronomical Society of Tasmania- Explore the night sky with a presentation followed by a guided telescope workshop on the riverbank

We will start with presentations inside the Little Theatre, a space Lego display, a pop-up gift shop with aurora photography, hot drinks, and popcorn. The second part of the evening will move outside, looking through telescopes. Dress warmly and bring your own red torch if you have one.
