Description

Be assured of a relaxing, rejuvenating and rewarding day discovering the real Tasmania on board the luxurious 23 metre catamaran, Peppermint Bay II. Departing from Sullivan’s Cove in Hobart, the Peppermint Bay Cruise takes in the harbour, the River Derwent, and the magnificent waters of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel on its way past Bruny Island to Peppermint Bay. The fully guided half day cruise provides a real connection with the Tasmanian lifestyle, history and wildlife. Rare and majestic sea eagles swoop down to greet the boat. Seals are spotted sunbaking near the Atlantic salmon fish farms. Underwater cameras allow you to observe crayfish amongst the colourful sea gardens. Whilst cruising, enjoy a Peppermint Bay regional platter. Why not spoil yourself!

Description

Opened in November 2003, Peppermint Bay and Hobart Cruises are the result of an entrepreneurial vision to link Hobart’s stunning waterways with a world class destination in Tasmania’s beautiful southern region, providing a unique and authentic dining experience. Peppermint Bay is located in the rural village of Woodbridge, just a short 35 minute drive south from Hobart via the picturesque Channel Highway or by water on our luxury high-speed catamaran. Peppermint Bay is set on four acres of waterfront headland, with commanding 270 degree water and mountain views east through north to west of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and the lush rolling hills of the Huon. Peppermint Bay II is a sleek, 23 metre, high speed catamaran, licensed to carry up to 130 passengers. Locally built by shipbuilders Richardson and Devine, the vessel was launched in 2005. Departing from Hobart’s most central port, the half day adventure explores 75km of the magnificent, sheltered waters of the D’Entrecasteaux Channel and offers experiences exclusive to the Peppermint Bay Cruise.

Hours: Cruises depart at 11.30am Sunday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday May 1st - September 30th. At 12.00pm Daily Occtober 1st - April 30th
