Grassy and tree lined caravan park adjacent to the Macquarie River and Ross Bridge (3rd oldest convict built bridge in Australia). There are over 20 powered sites and 20 unpowered sites with a complimentary electric barbecue area. The Amenities Block has been repainted and the ladies and gentlemen's facilities upgraded with coin operated showers for hot water. There are also 5 heritage cabins (use of the Amenities Block) available at a cost of $60.00 for 2 people and then $30 for each additional person ($50.00 for a single person). These cabins all have cook tops, hot water, heating, spare blankets and doonas but no linen (i.e. sheets and towels). These can be hired at a cost of $5.00 per person.

Directions

The Ross Caravan Park and heritage cabins are midway between Launceston and Hobart in the glorious heritage village of Ross. From Launceston, head south along the Midland Highway and turn left 10 kilometres from Campbell Town. Heading north from Hobart, drive up the Midland Highway through Oatlands and Tunbridge and then turn left into Ross over the historic Ross Bridge. Turn left at the War Memorial into Church Street and then left again after the two red telephone boxes. This will bring you down to the Esplanade where you check in at the Ross Motel before proceeding to the Caravan Park and cabins.
