Tasmanian Poetry Slam - Deloraine Heat
Join Sundee Poetree and the Tasmanian Poetry Festival for the Deloraine Heat of the Tasmanian Poetry Slam. Whether you're a poet ready to perform or an audience member looking for a great night out, everyone is welcome.

Time: 7:00pm (performer registrations by 6:30pm)
Venue: Empire Hotel, Deloraine
Tasmanian poets are invited to perform an original poem in under two minutes, following Australian Poetry Slam rules. The winner of the Deloraine Heat will progress to the Tasmanian Final in Hobart, with the chance to compete in the Australian Poetry Slam National Final at the Sydney Opera House.
Cash prizes will be awarded for:
- 1st Place - $100
- 2nd Place - $50
- 3rd Place - $30
Entry is free. Attend as a performer or simply come along to enjoy an evening of live poetry and spoken word.
